Laser hair removal for facial hair in women
Chin and upper lip hair is one of the most common reasons women come to us. Here is what laser can do and what it costs.
· 3 min read
Short answer: The upper lip and chin are small areas: £42 a session, or £170 for a course of six. Any two different small areas are £60 a session, or £290 for six.
Hair on the chin, upper lip, cheeks and jaw is common, and for many women it is a daily bother. Laser hair removal is one of the most popular ways to treat it.
Which areas are treated
The face is made up of small areas that are quick to treat. In our pricing, small areas include the upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns and jaw. A full face including neck is a large area.
What it costs
Single sessions for small areas are £42 for one, or £60 for any two different small areas. A course of six sessions is £170 for one small area, or £290 for two. See the price list for everything.
How many sessions
If you have never had laser before, six to eight sessions are typically advised. Facial hair can grow back faster than body hair, so sessions may be spaced a little closer together. After your course, a top-up once or twice a year may help to maintain results.
How it feels
The face is more sensitive than some areas, so you may feel it more on the upper lip than on a cheek. It is quick, and we go at your pace.
If the cause is hormonal
Hair on the face can be linked to hormones, for example PCOS. Laser treats the hair, not the cause, so you may need more top-ups. See our post on laser hair removal and PCOS.
Why choose a one-to-one clinic
Facial treatment is personal. Every session is with our senior technician, in a calm, private room. One of our clients said Mel is "so friendly, supportive and really does understand personal circumstances", and that is the care we aim for.
